An ambitious 3D generalist with skills focused in asset creation, shaders, visual effects, and animation. My industry experience involves creating apps for the HoloLens and various VR technologies for customers across the world.
I enjoy taking on challenges that further my abilities, and experimenting with new software to expand my skill set. My personal project Raccoon Roller, provides an outlet for me to augment my knowledge in the many facets of the game development cycle.
Recently finished a large project for KDWeb, working on things such as animating characters, baking textures and lighting, and optimising scenes to be used with web GL applications. Prior to this project I had various projects such as creating tutorials videos of generating smoke simulations and rigging characters for Unity.
Started development on Raccoon Roller inside of Unreal Engine 4, where I learnt blueprints and expanded on my technical knowledge with physics actors, and custom physics channels for interactions between rockets, grapples and the world. Went through the process of getting my game verified for release on Steam and creating all the promotional material.
Worked with Audi, Centrica, Shell, Microsoft, and many more, developing software across multiple platforms, including PC, mobile, VR and the HoloLens.
Whilst on AR and VR app development, my role was primarily a 3D artist and animator, optimizing and creating models from various sources, and animating models and UI for user interactions. Not only this though, I also took on a plethora of tasks that covered most aspects of the development cycle such as learning and writing optimal shader code in unity for use with the HoloLens, creating marketing material and videos, and writing up user guides.
Other projects that were more game oriented I took more of a generalist role, with less focus in 3D and more in visual effects, animation and design. Virtual safari experience, cadet weapon training, and an open world sandbox game are just some examples of the projects I have been part of.
